Getting started with Lumoras takes four steps: connect your data, tune how things should work, go live, then watch everything from one console. You can begin with the point of sale or the AI receptionist, and add the other later. This article walks through the order most businesses follow.
What this does
Lumoras ties together the conversations your business has: phone calls, the front counter and checkout. Each product shares the same customers, calendar and settings, so turning on a new piece does not mean moving your data again.
Set up in four steps
- Connect. Bring in your service list, menu, calendar or customer list. If you are starting fresh, set up Lumoras POS first and add your services and team there. Retail stores connect their order and shipping systems with the onboarding team, so the voice agent can look up orders.
- Tune. Open Settings and fill in your business hours, booking policies, the greeting callers hear and who should get transferred calls. Retail stores also set their rules for cancellations, changes and returns.
- Go live. Forward your business phone number to the AI receptionist, or give out its new number.
- Orchestrate. Use the dashboard to see calls, bookings, orders and sales in each location.
You do not have to do all four on day one. A salon might run the register for a month before switching on voice. A restaurant might start with the receptionist on its own. Voice is a switch you flip when you are ready.
Check that it worked
- Call your business number from a different phone. The receptionist should answer with your business name.
- Ask it to book something. The booking should appear on your live calendar.
- Ring up a test sale on the POS, then void or refund it.
- In a retail store, ask about a test order and check the agent reads back the right status.
If something looks off
- The phone still rings at the shop. Forwarding is set at your carrier, so check it is switched on. The call forwarding guide covers each type of line.
- The receptionist offers the wrong times. Your hours or staff schedules need a fix. Bookings only land inside the hours you set.
- You are not sure which product you need. Start with the product guide below.
